Every year I try to come up with something a little different for you guys when it comes to Christmas cake. This cake can be made and...

Easy Cinnamon Banana Bread

So it’s been over a month, so I am good to go for another banana recipe….. right? Seriously I eat so many of these things but the odd few slip through the net and go all brown and far too sweet for me to eat and because I hate waste with a passion I always end up with banana bread, muffins, cake, pancakes galore in my house. This super Easy Cinnamon Banana Bread is a great way to use up those unwanted super sweet brown bananas.     I love it when a plan comes together, I basically threw everything in a bowl and hoped for the best....

Braised Red Cabbage with Blackberries

I am really excited to share this recipe for Braised Red Cabbage with Blackberries today, I have made a version of this many times over the last few years. But I have never shared it, mainly because I rarely shared savoury dishes with you guys and because while it was really good it wasn’t great. I still enjoyed it, and ate it often but it wasn’t perfect. While surfing Pinterest a while ago I came across a similar recipe with a few things added that I hadn’t thought of. I tired it out and it had that certain something I had...

Homemade Slow Cooker Spicy Apple Sauce

This is the worlds easiest recipe. Its hardly a recipe at all, its more an easy kitchen hack than anything else. This Homemade Slow Cooker Spicy Apple Sauce is easy to put together, sugar free and has a load of different uses. Once your apples are chopped you stick them in you slow cooker and 7 hours later you have pure apple sauce.     The cinnamon is not strictly necessary I just fancied giving it a little Autumnal twist and it made a nice change. Usually I keep it plain and it is so versatile, it goes great with yogurt, oatmeal, granola,...

Blackberry Apple Spelt Crumble

With the cold now creeping in more and more, its not just time to enjoy hot comforting savoury dishes but also time to bring out the warm comforting desserts as well. Blackberry Apple Spelt Crumble is just a small twist on a very traditional British dessert.     Spelt Flour I have to admit to being ignorant of spelt flour for a pretty long time. I only really became aware of it by reading the blog Angie’s Recipes. She uses it in a lot of her wonderful recipes and wanting to try a few of them out I bought some spelt flour and have...
